My son is the pickiest eater on the planet- except when at our Mommy & Me class. He looks forward to his cooking class and feels like such a 'big boy' when he gets to cook with Ms Krista!

Our Mission

Who we are:

Avocado Kids Kitchen is the premier mobile cooking school for kids and families currently serving Pasco County. We are passionate about giving kids what they need to succeed.

What we do:

We provide after school programs, community workshops, and school break camps for kids to gain confidence in the kitchen and learn healthy eating habits.

Why we do it:

With childhood obesity reaching an all time high and children suffering from nutrition related diseases, Avocado Kids Kitchen has recognized the value of educating children on the importance of simple nutrition.  In addition, Pediatricians and Obstetricians in the area have expressed a need for nutrition education opportunities that would be available for their patients.

Frequently Asked Questions

What age groups are classes appropriate for?

Aside from parent/child classes, similar ages are grouped together to cover age appropriate material.

Can Parents participate?

Unless specifically designed to be an Adult & Child class, parents are welcome to drop off and go or remain in a nearby designated waiting area. Keep in mind our goal is to encourage independence in the kitchen. This includes problem solving if they are struggling and learning to speak up when they need help.

What are the instructor qualifications?

All instructors are held to a strict standard of education and of conduct including: Health Coaching Certification &/or undergraduate degree in related field, Complete Background Check, Food handling Safety Certification and Allergy Awareness training.

How many students are allowed per class?

Numbers vary depending on the nature of class.

Where are you located?

We are a mobile school currently serving Pasco County.

Will you travel to my school?

Yes! At-School Field Trips, Afterschool Enrichment Programs and guest speakers.

Do you offer birthday parties?

Not at this time but COMING SOON!

Will you offer something to drink if my child gets thirsty?

If the host facility does not have water fountains, we will provide water and cups.

What if my child has Allergies?

Avocado Kids Kitchen will do our best to accommodate for allergen safety to meet your child's specific needs. Please inform us of allergies at least 2 weeks prior so that we may take arrangements. As a mobile cooking school, those with severe allergies must note that the class or workshop may be offered in a facility that does not adhere to our guidelines.

What facilities are necessary to host a cooking class?

Host facilities must provide a clean space, including sink, soap and towels for washing, tables and chairs, and trash container.

Will we receive copies of the recipes to take home?

Absolutely! Our hope is that you will enjoy them again and again at home.

How can I contact you if I have additional questions?

Click the "Say Hello" icon at the top of the page.

What is your cancellation policy?

All cancellation policy varies on class type. Please contact us by phone or email. Please do not put other children at risk by sending your child if they are sick!
